Courses
We offer full courses that cover a complete range of
drumming
styles, from beginner to advanced. Whatever your age and ability or
stylisitc interests, we can take you through a series of well
structured, planned lessons that will allow you to develop into a
professional, well rounded drummer.
Course option 1: Irish Drum Academy Certificate Course.
This is divided into three separate grades, and caters to different
levels of ability. A certificate is presented on completion of grade 3.
Grade 1: Getting started as a drummer, enjoying drums.
Grade 2: Improving performance and advancing technique.
Grade 3: Preparing you for professional performance.
Course option 2: Irish Drum Academy Open Lessons.
These sessions are designed for drummers to develop specific skills and
abilities according to their wishes.

*** New Irish Drum Academy Courses start on the
first week of September
(Friday 4pm-9pm / Saturday 11am-5pm). Students can also enrol
anytime
after these dates as well for 4 to 10 consecutive weeks.

Fee
Lessons are for 45 minutes, run weekly and are on
a one to one basis. Students have the
option of taking part in a four week or ten week term.
One ten week term = 10 lessons: €270. One four week term = 4
lessons: €120. Fees are paid at the first lesson.
Setup
A complete state of the art studio
facilitiy,
acoustically enhanced with two full drumkits set up (one for the
teacher and one for the student).
High quality recording and playback facilities are provided to try and
create a real band environment.
All equipment, materials and CDs are provided free of charge.
Location
Lessons are carried out in the rehearsals area of
the Temple Bar Music Centre, Curved Street, Dublin 2. Just ask at
reception! This is a great place to hang out and meet lots of musicians
and well known bands.
